Jane, Luvana Kick Off ‘Pirates’ Promo Tour

WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Adult stars Jesse Jane and Carmen Luvana are kicking off a promotional tour for “Pirates” this evening at the Hustler Hollywood store in West Hollywood.

Hustler Hollywood store manager Chris Thornberry said the event has generated much interest after an ad for the Digital Playground- and Adam & Eve-sponsored event appeared in the LA Weekly.

“I’m really excited that we’re hosting the opening night of this tour,” Thornberry said. “The phone hasn’t stopped ringing, it seems everyone knows this is the biggest movie ever made and Jesse Jane and Carmen Luvana are in high demand.”

The “Pirates” stars will be giving away free autographed movie posters from 8-11 p.m.

On Saturday, Jane and Luvana will move south to Hustler Hollywood’s San Diego store.

Over the next two months, the contract stars also will make appearances throughout Arizona, Colorado, Washington, New York, Florida, Texas, Ohio and Alaska, with radio promotion at each location.

At almost three hours long, “Pirates” contains 10 sex scenes, including the first-ever girl/girl scenes between Luvana and Jane as well as Jane and Janine.

“As these scenes unfolded on the set, a competition developed between Carmen and Janine to see who would do the better scene with Jesse, and it made for some pretty intense scenes,” Digital Playground’s Joone said.

The idea for “Pirates” came about while Digital Playground was shooting “Island Fever 3” in Bora Bora. “The guys made a little pirate movie with some cool visual effects, and that was the inspiration for ‘Pirates,’” Joone said.

Filming in locations in Southern California and Florida, the shoot lasted 17 days. The movie uses more than 300 special effects, including one scene shot entirely against a green screen, the technique used to create battle scenes in movies such as “Star Wars.”

The three-disc set shot in high-definition is loaded with special features, including behind-the-scenes, audio commentary, a vignette on the special effects and the short film that inspired the full-length movie. The video will be available for consumers on Monday.

The Hustler Hollywood store is located at 8920 Sunset Blvd. in West Hollywood. The San Diego store is located in the Gas Lamp District at 929 6th Ave.
